"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
– Fred Rogers

3's Preschool Class
At our 3's Preschool class, which is held Tuesday and Thursdays we focus on creating a hands-on experience that promotes socialization, academic learning, creative play, and independence. Our curriculum is designed to enhance the development of fine and gross motor skills, language, coordination, and number awareness, using The Zoo-Phonics Program to teach letter sounds and Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to teach letters and numbers. Children are given ample time to explore their environment, practice writing their names, and make new friends. Our weekly lessons are based on a variety of themes, including alphabet letters, seasonal changes, animals, and holidays. Our daily schedule includes academic lessons, open manipulative play, arts and crafts, circle time, music, show and tell, and outdoor play.

The 4's Pre-Kindergarten class which is held Monday, Wednesday and Friday is a vital program for preparing 4-year-olds with essential skills to excel in Kindergarten. Our age-appropriate curriculum focuses on developing meaningful learning experiences that help children master the alphabet letters by sight and sound, handwriting using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, and sight words introduction to prepare for reading. The math readiness curriculum promotes number identification, formation, counting, patterning, and sorting. Social skills are also emphasized through creative play, group projects, and teamwork. Each week, class lessons are based on a variety of themes including alphabet letters, seasonal changes, animals, and holidays. Our daily schedule includes academic lessons, stories, calendar, arts/crafts, and music. Children also participate in monthly chapel services.
This class provides an excellent opportunity for children to learn and grow. We have extended this class an extra hour from past years to include lunch where children can develop socialization skills while eating lunch and learning the important skill of eating independently. Enroll your child in our 4's Pre-Kindergarten class for a fulfilling learning experience that sets the foundation for future academic success at their pace while preparing them for their Kindergarten journey.

Our TK class is held Monday-Friday and is exclusively designed for children who miss the Kindergarten cut-off date. We understand that every child develops at their own pace, and this program caters specifically to those who need an extra year of preparation before entering the traditional Kindergarten setting by blending Kinder prep with early Kinder learning. Enrolling your child in our TK program, where we combine the joy of play with the structure of academics, fosters a love for learning that will stay with them throughout their educational journey. This class has homework packets, reading logs, and the emerging reading program that encompasses sight words and simple sentences.
